Grundy Center, Iowa – USA – January 5, 2022 - ELM, a leading manufacturer of Biobased/Biodegradable grease and lubricants is increasing its international presence by opening an office in Singapore. Demand for ELM biobased products has increased worldwide, and the company projects significant additional growth next year. Dr. Lou Honary, ELM president said that “… the recent emphasis on sustainability is shown to be worldwide although the market in the United States is growing faster than in other countries. By offering regional expertise and timely availability, we will be able to better serve our clients”.

Honary said “ELM is the only company known to be using our patented microwave-based grease processing technology for manufacturing greases. This has allowed us to offer biobased greases at prices that are in near parity with conventional mineral greases.” The new office will be managed by Dr. Timothy Phang who brings a wealth expertise to ELM distributors and private label clients. Through that office ELM clients will have access to products and support in a timely manner not affected by differences in time zones.

Dr. Timothy Phang has been an ELM representative for several years and offers a wealth business experience to ELM’s international clients. With a PhD from University of Melbourne in Australia, Timothy has over 30 years of experience in the oil and chemical industry. He spent 28 years with The Lubrizol Corporation and has been an international consultant to lubricants related industry.
